A spectacular Chinese Lion Dance to celebrate the New Year
This week we have celebrated the Lunar New Year across school and in boarding in many different ways. It is a key occasion in our calendar and one the whole school enjoys. An exciting highlight of the week has been a spectacular Chinese Lion Dance performance for the school community, from the amazing University of Bristol Chinese Lion Dance Troupe.
Farewell to two of our German students
This week we say a sad farewell to two of our international short-stay boarders Marie and Sienna. The girls are from Germany and joined us for a cultural and academic immersion programme. Marie and Sienna joined us at the start of the year, and have become a valued part of our school community in a short space of time.

Our boarders had another fun and busy weekend involving a treasure trail, breaking out of an escape room, virtual reality fun, a cinema trip and heavenly desserts.
Brilliant debating success for our Sixth Form girls
Congratulations to our Sixth Form (Y13) students Anja and Catherine, for their incredible achievement in the Oxford Schools' Debating Competition, a highly competitive national competition. They are through to the finals.
U11s GDST Hockey Tournament
Our talented U11 girls hockey team showcased remarkable skill as part of the GDST tournament hosted by Oxford High School. They advanced to the plate round and then secured the plate victory. Well done girls!
House Dance and Drama 2024
Our House Dance and Drama competition, definitely an annual school highlight, saw girls from all four houses performing a 15-minute dance theatre show on a theme of the choice. The senior school got together in the Sports Hall for an afternoon of collaboration, community spirit and joy, created by the students.
