Head's Blog: Year 6
This week I have met all 31 of our Prep School Year 6s who gave me a thorough and wide-ranging education in what makes sparky ten and eleven-year-olds tick. They gave their presentations to me as part of their transfer process to the senior school, which their external counterparts will do in January. Beginning a talk with the line, ‘My mother is a cereal killer’ was particularly memorable (it was about healthy eating) but every student impressed me in their own way.
Boarders' Christmas Celebration
Royal High boarders from School House and Gloucester House gathered for our annual Christmas feast on Saturday evening. They enjoyed festive beverages and a delicious three-course dinner, followed by a fantastic disco and photo booth fun. It was a glamorous and memorable night for everyone!Â
Dickensian Spirit
At Royal High we will be fully entering this Dickensian spirit for the last few days of term. Our House Christmas trees grow more beautiful by the day, our Christmas entertainment Anastasia is playing to packed houses and Tuesday will bring our Christmas jumper day and Christmas lunch as well as carolling a-plenty at the Extravaganza and the Abbey on Wednesday. I hope the students and their families enjoy every last moment!Â

What an incredible opening night! Anastasia the Broadway musical is go! Featuring a cast of 70 performers, student orchestra, student tech crew and backstage team, our 2024 school musical is a triumph, and highlights the remarkable commitment and breadth of talent within our Performing Arts department.
