Any Questions: IB Diploma and A Level Evening | 28 September

18.00-20.00

Royal High School Bath

sixth-form-open-evening

Come find out more about our dual pathway offering at our Sixth Form during our IB and A Level information evening on Wednesday 28th September, 18.00-20.00, giving you the chance to learn about our International Baccalaureate (IB) and A Level post-16 pathways, girl-centred education, boarding and transport options and supportive school community.

The aim of the event is to provide both parents and students with the specific and up-to-date information needed to make the best choice for study in the Sixth Form.

As you may know, The Royal High School is the only school in Bath to offer two different Sixth Form routes to university and beyond: A-levels and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. We feel it is very important to enable our students to opt for a pathway which best suits them and we would like the opportunity to share our experience of the different qualifications with you.

At the evening we will offer an overview of the philosophy and workings of the IB Diploma and explain about our excellent A Level Tripos programme which provides a great deal more than the three subjects at A Level. You will then have the chance to put your questions about both paths of study to a panel of experts, including the Head of Sixth Form, Luke Benedict, the IB Coordinator, Jude Taylor, the Head of Higher Education, Tim Hardcastle, Assistant Head (Curriculum), James Moyle and current students on both programmes. Our Head of Careers, Melanie Whalley, will also be available to answer any questions. In addition, we are proud to welcome to the panel the Head of Undergraduate Student Recruitment at the University of Bath, Steven Lawrence, to answer any questions you might have about how universities view the two programmes.
