Friends of RHS
Who we are
The Friends of the Royal High School is a lively group of parents, staff and the Head Teachers from both the Prep and Senior School with two key aims: to raise funds for extra-curricular opportunities for the girls and build a friendly and inclusive school community. We are an active group who arrange a whole host of social and fundraising events throughout the year. In recent years, these have included an annual Christmas Bazaar, a special Gala Ball, annual Fireworks Display, School Discos, Wine Tasting Nights, Dog Shows, Quiz Nights and more – all of which are well supported by parents and teachers. The Friends also receive an impressive amount of money from the second-hand uniform shop.
What we do
Each year, through the funds we raise, we're able to support the school by making donations that facilitate specialist resources and ‘icing on the cake’ equipment for the girls. We also offer the Sixth Form students the opportunity to be considered for an Education Award. Each year this is awarded to applicants who are seeking support for a gap year project, initiative or endeavour that will further their career aspirations. All of this is only possible due to the commitment of those involved in running the Friends, and those who support our events and activities throughout the year.
