Year 9 Students Experience Profound Holocaust Education Through Testimony 360
Senior School, History

This week, our Year 9 students took part in the Testimony 360 workshop, an innovative programme from the Holocaust Educational Trust that brings history to life through digital eyewitness testimony and virtual reality. The session provided a deeply immersive experience, allowing students to engage with the testimony and stories of Holocaust survivor, Manfred Goldberg, in a way that was both educational and profoundly moving.
Using cutting-edge technology, students were able to hold a virtual conversation with Manfred Goldberg asking questions and hearing firsthand accounts of his life and survival. The workshop used VR technology to transport them to historical sites associated with Manfred’s experiences and the Holocaust, offering a powerful and immersive perspective on the places that shaped history.
The impact of the session was undeniable. Students left with a greater understanding of the Holocaust and the importance of remembrance, reinforcing the significance of learning from the past to build a more compassionate future.
We are grateful to the Holocaust Educational Trust for visiting RHS and delivering such a meaningful programme supporting us in our commitment to impactful historical education for girls.
