Pioneering excellence in all-girls’ education is fundamental to the ethos of Royal High School Bath. We are therefore delighted to invite you to a special talk on the strengths and advantages of an education designed specifically for girls.

On Monday 15 January we will be joined by Dr Kevin Stannard, the GDST’s Director of Innovation & Learning and author of the GDST’s ground-breaking national research report, The Girls’ Futures Report, for a talk at RHSB Prep School.

At a time when there is an intense focus on the gap between independent and state schooling as well as the gap between boys and girls in academic achievements, Dr Stannard provides the GDST perspective on why (and how) girls thrive in a girls-only school, while shining light on key arguments that contribute towards girls’ priorities and ambitions for future careers and leadership.

The talk will cover:

  • How girls are feeling at this moment in time, and what they need from education and the wider world.
  • The difference a girls-first ecosystem can make for confidence, future careers and skills.
  • Myths and misapprehensions surrounding all-girls’ education.
  • Helping girls thrive at key stages: nursery and prep, senior and sixth form.

Dr Kevin Stannard will be joined by Head of Prep School, Claire Lilley, and Head, Kate Reynolds, for a Q&A to follow the talk.
