The role:

The candidate will join a successful and experienced Biology department teaching across the range of KS3, KS4 and KS5. They will be responsible for delivering the Edexcel iGCSE course to KS4 and the AQA A-Level Biology course to KS5.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for leading, or helping to deliver, the extra-curricular activities organised by the department. In addition there is the opportunity to work as a Boarding Tutor one evening a week.

The department

The Science department at Royal High School is successful and established, with a large take up of all three Science subjects at A-Level and IB. There is a strong focus on Extra-Curricular activities, with many engaging Science clubs, competitions and support sessions available to all students in the school.

The department consists of 8 specialist science labs, 3 dedicated science technicians and 12 specialist teachers.
