Evies gift 2

Back in June during a RSHE lesson on the work of charities, students in Year 8 were fortunate to have a visit and talk from Mr Bryan Clover founder of Evie’s Gift and former Royal High School Bath, Deputy Head Mrs Debbie Dellar. They talked to the students about how charities were set up, registered and how they are run.

Students were then invited to take part in a fundraising activity, where they were given £10 and had the summer holiday to grow that money.

It has been wonderful hearing the industrious ways the students have chosen to growing a profit and convert their hard work into funding for a charity which is close to our hearts at Royal High.”
~ Ms Hannah Morton, Head of RHSE

The students set to work and the remarkable sum of £2,730.70 was raised for Evie's Gift. Particular congratulations go to the overall winners of the competition Grace, Darcey and Edie who between them raised over £1,200.00 by baking, making jam, cleaning cars, working family events and organising sponsorship.
