GDST Senior Debating Competition 2023

We were delighted to field a number of strong teams for the GDST Senior Debating Competition at South Hampstead High School over the weekend. Five Year 12 girls – Catherine, Lily, Maddie, Annabel and Anja Woosnam – each participated in their first ever British Parliamentary Debating tournament, and gave a great account of themselves in a very competitive contest against experienced debaters.
All our teams finished in the top 2/3 of the rankings. Lily was named as the 3rd best novice debater and Catherine won the award for best novice debater in the whole competition!
Congratulations to our amazing RHSB debaters: we hope to expand our competitive debating next year.
