Tell us about yourself
I grew up in Bromley in South East London and attended Eltham College during my school years before reading English Literature at Cambridge University. After my undergraduate degree, I took my PGCE teaching qualification at Goldsmiths in London. The Royal High School is my fifth school, my previous posts having taken me to various places around southern England. I most recently lived with my wife Charlie and my daughter Arwen in London; we moved to Bath just this summer and are already loving life in the new city!
What are you looking forward to?
My first impressions of the Royal High School have been wonderful: everybody has been so friendly - staff and students alike - and the site is, of course, lovely. I can see myself staying here for many years to come and I look forward to becoming an integral member of the RHSB family and feeling like I really belong.Tell us an interesting fact about yourself
My A-Level qualifications are not what one might expect of a Head of English: English, of course, yes; but my other subjects were Physics, Maths and Further Maths!
