Off with her head
Nursery and Prep School
The Prep School girls had a wonderful time during their Tudor day. Our theme, which is named ‘Off with her head!’, focuses on the Tudor period and the girls have learnt so much about what life was like during this time, including houses, religion, clothes, diet and so much more.
The banquet was the climax of the theme, and involved the pupils dressing up in Tudor style dresses which they wore with the fabulous headdresses that they had made themselves. We started with some Tudor dancing in the dance studio before the girls came over to Cranwell House ready to welcome our special guest, King Henry VIII! The pupils had composed their own fanfares for the King which they played and sang to him before singing him a song from Six the musical. After that, we headed upstairs for our wonderful feast!
