Prep pupils cake sale for Oceana 9
It is wonderful to see that from a very young age, our girls are already looking for ways on how to support environmental charities and taking action themselves firmly espousing Greta Thunberg’s belief that ‘you are never too small to make a difference’.”

Our Prep School Ministers of Environment, who are part of our School Parliament, like many of our pupils are passionate about the environment and wanted to do something special to help. At our last Prep School COP27 meeting in November, many of the girls expressed the desire to organise a fundraising event for Oceana, a charity that protects the world’s oceans.

Last Friday, the girls ran a cake sale at school to raise money for Oceana. Many of them brought in some wonderful cakes, some of which were environmentally themed! Thanks to everyone’s efforts, we have raised over £100 for this very worthwhile cause.

Well done everyone!

Year 4 Teacher Mrs Robson said “It was great to see so many of our girls, families and staff get involved to support this. As a school we have a strong commitment to the environment so it is wonderful to see that from a very young age, our girls are already looking for ways on how to support environmental charities and taking action themselves firmly espousing Greta Thunberg’s belief that ‘you are never too small to make a difference’.”
