Year 6 visit We the Curious
Nursery and Prep School
On Thursday 3 March, Year 6 went to We the Curious in Bristol for a two science-related workshops entitled: ‘Evolution and Fossils’ and ‘DNA Detectives’.
The girls got to use microscopes to scrutinise hair samples from wild animals, use special lab equipment to test extracted DNA, and play a range of thought-provoking games related to fossils and evolution. It was both challenging and interesting.
Overall, we had a jam-packed (but fantastic) day filled with fascinating high-level science. Our instructors described our behaviour as ‘impressive’ and said that the girls handled the activities better than many A-Level students they teach. Well done Year 6!
