Year 7s come third in Young Coders Competition

Four Year 7 students have come third in the Young Coders Competition out of over 600 teams who entered from the UK and overseas, making this an outstanding result.

Their environmentally themed Scratch game was praised by the judges for ‘the excellent graphics, programming and innovative gameplay’ . Team ‘Super Duck Studio’ comprised of Sennen, Alice, Sophie and Evie, who each received individual shields, certificates and a book whilst the school received a lovely team shield and £50 to spend on future STEM opportunities.

The prizes were presented online by the Master of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists and will be celebrated in the assembly on Friday.
