The GDST Difference.

We are proud to be part of The Girls' Day School Trust, the leading network of independent girls’ schools in the UK.

The GDST educates approximately 8% of all girls at UK independent schools. There are about 20,000 pupils in the 23 GDST schools and two academies throughout England and Wales. All but two of the schools educate girls all the way through, from the age of three or four to 18.

The GDST is a modern, vibrant organisation where the teaching and wellbeing of all its pupils takes absolute priority. The academic results it achieves are among the best in the country, and the young women leaving its schools for university and the world beyond have the confidence, courage, composure and commitment to thrive wherever their futures take them.

No other school or group of schools runs as many or as broad a range of joint activities as the GDST. The list includes career and leadership conferences and seminars, subject-specific and career-specific prizes and scholarships and inter-school competitions.

Furthermore, as an alumnae of a GDST school our students have access to a network with over 70,000 members of which at least 2000 are overseas making it the largest network of its kind in the country.  The GDST alumnae network provides access to university advice, careers support and insight days, a mentoring scheme, plus networking groups and events.
